Privacy policy

Radius Map Tool is designed to work without an account. Circle projects are created in your browser and are not saved to a Radius Map Tool user database.

Map and search services

Map tiles and address search results are provided by third-party OpenStreetMap ecosystem services. When your browser requests tiles or searches for a place, those providers receive standard request information such as your IP address, browser details, and the requested map area or search text. Their own privacy policies govern that processing.

Device location

We request browser geolocation only after you choose “Use my current location.” Your browser controls the permission. The returned coordinates are used to center your circle in the page and are not submitted to us as a saved project.

Shared links

When you share a map, circle centers, radius sizes, units, colors, and labels are encoded into the URL. Anyone with that URL can read that information. Avoid putting confidential information in circle labels or sharing a link publicly if its locations are sensitive.

Local storage and cookies

The core mapping tool does not require an account cookie. Hosting and security systems may process basic server logs to operate the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose errors.
